Summer Learning Journey Activity #12: Towering Timbers

For this activity I write down if I think logging is allowed in NZ or not and why.

I think it should be allowed because it provides people jobs.  If the logging industries take down too much forests then I think that it should stop because trees are important to animals and humans.  The birds wouldn't have anywhere else to live and it'll be easier for the predators to devour them.  If there aren't any trees there won't be any oxygen either.  I'm alright with logging as long as it doesn't affect nature too much.

Thank you for sharing your opinion on logging. You have acknowledged both sides of the argument well. People need jobs to live their best life and feed their family. Logging provides jobs for a lot of people.

But trees are an important part of our ecosystem. As are birds, fruits, bugs and all the other animals that rely on trees for protection, shelter and food,
Can you suggest any rules or regulations regarding logging? Maybe a fine if they log too much.

Well done on your blog post.

Keep up the creativity and hard work
