Summer Learning Journey # 1 Activity: 3 fascinating facts about NZ

In this activity I had to find three facts out of 20 that captured my attention.

1: 30% of NZ is forest.

2: Queen Elizabeth II is officially queen of NZ, represented in the country by a Governor General.

3: The official language is English and Maori.

  1. Hi Mary!
We are very lucky to live in such a cool place here in New Zealand. There are so many things to see and do. It is really neat that we have the two official languages! it makes us unique. But did you know we actually have THREE? New Zealand Sign Language is also considered one of the official languages.

What’s your favourite fact about New Zealand? I am beyond pleased we have no snakes and that we were the first country to grant women the right to vote. I hope that you continue blogging with us this summer, and I look forward to reading more of your posts over the next few weeks.

    Keep it up
