Autobiography Creation!

 My Autobiography Poem

We made these pieces of art so we get to know each other a bit better.  Although we have a really small  class with only 12 students there were some new people from the other classes. Also it's a new year so it's a new class.  First we traced our own hands onto a blank piece of paper, then after we drew in some straight lines.  We did this because it made interesting shapes, all different sizes . We then traced our hands and lines with a sharpie to make it stand out.  After, we started to paint in the lines.  About halfway we started to create our poem, we then printed and cut them out and kept painting. Since I thought my colours weren't bright enough I went over all of the shapes 3 times and it made nice bold shapes.  I was also falling behind so I decided to leave the hands white because they stood out and looked cool.  I was nearly finished all I needed to do now was glue the poem and my first and last name on.  The 2nd to last step was to take a picture on seesaw and then recorded our voice over it and read our poems.  The very final step is to post it onto our blogs.

I think this was a very fun creation to do, although I took quiet a while.
It's also very effective and stands out, our poems also look really nice on our blank wall.

Weekend Journal

My weekend was really fun, let me tell you about Saturday.  

Saturday:  I was having a relaxing sleep in, my bed was really snugly and warm.  A few hours later I hear my door opening and talking... from my mum ( way to interrupt my sleeping )  I was actually delighted with the news, she asked if I wanted to go to my friend's birthday party with my cousin.  Of coarse I said yes because there would be food 🎂🎂🎂.  When we arrived there I met some people

( Julian, Summer) and played with them for a while.  Then I saw one of my friends I met last year ( her name is Clara )  Me, Julian and Clara went outside and did some gymnastics.  After all the gymnastics we did I got really dizzy, but I kept going because it was fun.  We then heard a ring from a bell... it was time to eat! I had lots of food.  We played some games (musical chairs & tug of war ) first the boys played the the girls ( I won musical chairs ) It was time to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy ( Tony ) 🎂🎂

Weekend Journal

Saturday was a very normal day for me.  I woke up, ate my breakfast, played outside, ate some more food and looked after my siblings.  In the afternoon I was really bored, I had nothing to do, so I listened to some music and cleaned up my room.  After a few minutes I hear the phone ring, I rushed to it and answered  the phone immediately, to my surprise it was in fact a friend of mine.  Bridget Rooney,  she sounded  a bit different, that's because she put on a french accent.  She asked me if I would like to go to the lake with her, of course I said yes but it was all up to Mum.  She said yes (thank goodness) I really needed a break from my cheeky siblings.  They picked me up at around 4:30 and we headed off to the lake!  But first we had a stop at the garage and got some candy and chips.  After that we went to see one of the Rooney's friend ( Tony ) I also know Tony because she used to teach Brianna, Bryce and Bruce.  Since Brianna is already at school she only has Bryce and Bruce to teach.  Then we finally drove down to the lake.  We went onto the pontoon and did some dolphin diving, after a couple of minutes or so we saw some people from school (Gabriel and Kayden ).  Me and Bridget just dolphin dived. Then soon after Breagh, Eden and Jake came (our friends) We did some underwater handstands and splashed a bit. Then we went to get dinner at the pub, since it took really long me and Bridget went to the school and played for a while.  Then went back to see if tea was ready but it wasn't, so we went back and stayed there for 10 minutes.  Finally dinner was ready at last.  After dinner we went to the Ronney's house and we did some fun things.
On Monday we didn't really do much.
On Tuesday we planted some posts in front of broken old ones

Weekend Journal

On the weekend I spent nearly all my time  making Christmas Cards for the class.  It took ages just to complete one, so I came up with a brilliant idea a trace the rest with the ones that I did.  I couldn't see anything, so I got the light of my phone so I could see and I did that to rest of the cards.  I didn't get to colour them because it was getting late.  On Saturday my niece and nephew came over for a while.  It was  nice to see them again because I haven't seen them in a really long time.

Weekend Journal

Saturday was my Dad's Birthday!  So I went ahead and baked a cake.  I didn't know what to bake so I searched up simple cakes, because I was only a beginner baker.  In the end I chose to bake vanilla cupcakes, vanilla cupcakes are simple but delicious.  After mixing all the ingredients for the vanilla cupcakes I decided to not do cupcakes and bake a cake.  My cake turned out okay but when I trimmed it to make it perfect it got smaller.  I made the icing while the cake was cooling down.  I didn't want to put on just icing on the cake because it was my dad's birthday and I wanted to make it special.  So I put on a lot of different coloured sprinkles.  It turned out to be an awesome as cake, everyone seemed to enjoy it.  

On Sunday I tried to do a front flip because I didn't attempt doing one at Bridge Valley because I wasn't in the mood.  It took me three attempts until I actually flipped! Even though I didn't land the flip I'm still proud of myself.  Next steps is to land it and maybe do it on the ground, (probably not)

My Weekend Journal

On my weekend I spent most of it outside, I didn't really do much because everyone was busy doing something.  On Saturday I decided to try out some new Gymnastic Moves,  I tried a Scorpion and many others but I forgot.  That night we watched Narnia The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.  A book series that I've been reading, I'm on the 3rd book. 

On Sunday morning I woke up early but then went back to sleep and got out of bed late.  I started my day with a delicious breakfast, then went outside and played on the tramp.  In the Afternoon I started to work on my Scorpion (Gymnastics) I started tying to do it on the ground then worked my way up onto the wall, then eventually I tried without the wall and it worked! and that was without stretching!  I took some photos of progression and showed my friends, they were supersized. I'm very proud of myself, that I achieved my goal.  My next goal is to do a Needle which is practically a Scorpion but with a straight leg.

Overall even though my weekend was very short it still had a heap of stuff going on.

Athletics

On Monday 6th of November my class went to Athletics.  There were six events, which were: Long jump, high jump, Discus, shot put, Sprints and the 400 meter run.

My favourite two would have to be discus and sprints, because I think I tried my hardest in those two and for me they were the ones that were the funnest.  

The cons of my day at Athletics is that I didn't jump that high in High Jump because for some reason I was kind of scared of the bar.  

Overall I think that Athletics went well because everyone had fun and everyone cheered for each other.
