Summer Learning Journey Activity #20: It's all in the name
My Task: On your blog, give us a list of three to five options for the name of this geothermal pool. Put a star (*) beside the name that you like the most.
1: Shrek's Lair
My name is Rachel and I am working on the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. I can see that you have been doing a great job with the SLJ and are already onto Week #2. Wow! That is awesome.
I particularly like the creative names that you have come up for the neon green lake in Rotorua. I had to laugh when I read the 'Shrek's Hair' and 'Toxic Hulk' names. They are really funny! Like you, I think that the Toxic Hulk is the best of the options listed, although Shrek's Hair is a close second!
Have you seen all of the Shrek movies? My son, Aronui, loves them. He is often asking me if we can watch them on one of our special DVD nights. He try to watch DVDs together on a Friday night as a fun family event. Do you and your family ever have DVD nights? If so, what kind of movies do you watch?
Wishing you and your family a lovely evening and a great start to 2019.
We'll look forward to blogging with you in new year!
My name is Hinerangi, I go to Pt England School located in East Auckland Glen Innes. I am currently commenting as I am now finished my blogging with the SLJ. I have decided to comment on your blog as it was done perfectly well, awesome job Mary. I love the interesting and different ways you have made for the names of the Geothermal pool in Rotorua, (one of my favourite locations in New Zealand) I really love the name Toxic Hulk and Shrek's Lair, how amazing can these names be? I love how you've memorised the colour of Shrek and Hulk as they are both green, I also like how you've added them into your potions as it makes such an amazing name of the Geothermal pool.
Overall I loved your outstanding work, hope to see more incredible work from you soon. Keep up the great work Mary.
Do you know any other names for the Geothermal pool?
