About the article:
In 1715 a hurricane sunk 10 treasure ships close to the Florida coast nearly killing 1,000 people. On July 24 Spanish ships left Havana, the ships were carrying many valuable treasures and also carried tons of gold and silver coins which is worth around 14 million pesos.
So what:
There were plenty of valuable treasures on board the ship, now they are lost under the sea when they could have been in a museum for everyone to admire.

Week 1 reflection
I think that I started off my term okay because I have thought of my personal inquiry but haven't actually taken action yet. The first day back was exiting because I couldn't wait to see my friends, I couldn't wait to go back to school because my holidays was a bit boring and I was really exited for the fairy tales because I haven't heard all of the original ones. I think that I did well on my maths because I completed it in the end which is a priority, I think I could have done better on my kiwi kids news article because it wasn't detailed.
Nelly Noodles the paperback writer
This here was a 5 minute quick write with a learning outcome of creating a character.
Nelly Noodles always wanted to write stories ever since he was a little fellow. When he was 9 years old he always “accidentally” got into accidents, he chopped off his leg while juggling chainsaws, his cat bit off his nose. He had nearly died 10 times, he thought to himself “ what if I write a book about all of my accidents” He wasn’t a professional author so he became a PAPERBACK WRITER!

Quick write
Billy Bobby Jones is a very famous synchronised swimmer and he has never ever made a single mistake in his entire life. He has won 22 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. He is that talented he has only won 1 bronze medal, one day BBJ was assigned to go to Argentina for the synchronised swimming Olympics.

Quick write
I only had 5 minutes to create this quick write, so it isn't that descriptive.
My friend and I walked along the path leading up to a miniature waterfall, well that’s what we thought it was. When we saw the “waterfall” we got extremely excited, we weren’t planning on swimming but we did in the end. We jumped over the electric fence to get into the paddock, we ran fast but then we realised we had to take photos because it was so beautiful. We kept running until we reached our destination at last, we had an amazing idea to put our heads in it to see. When we went swimming there were rapids and they were leonine.

My holidays
My holidays
In the first week of the holidays on Tuesday I went to Gloriavale to see their concert. It was amazing because there was so much going on. I was not very vogie of myself because I was meant to bake a cake to bring to the library for a cooking contest and I missed out on it. I went on the farm heaps to help my dad, I saw my niece and nephew twice. I didn’t go anywhere else except for town. I just basically stayed with my family and spent time with them.

Fermented food with Mary&Tara
In class we have been learning about food, so we decided to ferment some. There was a wide variety to choose from all the fermented food. So Tara and I decided to choose fermented cucumber and boza.
Quick write
In class our teacher puts a picture or video up and we have to write about it. We also have the word of the day everyday and we have to add that in the quick write. Here is one of my quick writes.
